| Kiggon Cottage is a delightful property with much character. The original cottage is believed to be well over 200 years old and has recently been sympathetically restored and extended, retaining many of its original features including beamed ceilings and clome oven. The cottage is centrally heated providing all year round comfort. There is ample private parking.
We offer two en-suite double bedrooms and a twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom. All rooms have colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests are most welcome to use the lounge, which has a wood burning stove and TV. A full English or Continental breakfast is served in the conservatory.
Pencalenick is designated as a Site of Special interest and lies on the edge of the village of Tresillian which has it's own tidal river creating ideal conditions for bird watching. The nearby river path leads southwards to the old village of St Clement and for the more adventurous, onwards to Malpas. A shorter walk in the other direction leads to Tresillian with its thatched pub serving a range of good quality bar meals.
Truro has a magnificent cathedral and museum as well as its own live theatre - The Hall for Cornwall. Truro also offers a very good mixture of old and new shops, as well as a variety of excellent coffee shops, restaurants and wine bars. The City of Truro is always a contender in the Britain in Bloom competitions.
Our prices are from £25 per person per night, which includes breakfast. Guests are requested not to smoke in the house and we regret that because of the resident chocolate Labrador, 'Barny' - and cats, 'Smoke' and 'Fluff' - we are unable to accept pets. Short breaks at Kiggon Cottage are also available out of season. Why not take advantage of Cornwall's mild climate in the early or latter parts of the year when the countryside is alive with colour and wildlife.
