| Craig-y-Nos Castle Hotel stands in the Brecon Beacons National Park in the Upper Swansea Valley. The castle and surrounding park were the estate of Adelina Patti, the famous opera singer. It has now been transformed into a quality hotel with accommodation and reception facilities for weddings and conferences.
With its stunning location and the carefully preserved ambiance, Craig-y-Nos offers visitors a unique experience, whether it be just enjoying an overnight stay, or as a guest at a major function. Live entertainment and banqueting facilities are available to complete the occasion.
The castle has a wide choice of rooms - we have 22 refurbished, very pleasant en-suite rooms, the bridal suite, duplex and gatehouse family rooms. Also luxury, superior and standard doubles. We also have 11 non-en-suite doubles. Please contact us for more information or visit our website.
Some of the suites have their own private lounges. Drinks and refreshments are also available throughout the day in our range of bars and lounges.
Craig-y-Nos stands in well kept grounds, 17 miles north of Junction 45 on the M4, on the A4067 to Sennybridge and Brecon. It is in the Brecon Beacons National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is ideally located as a centre for walking and visiting the natural attractions of South Wales.
The high hills and mountains of Cribarth, Carreg Goch and Fforest Fawr are unspoilt wilderness areas with commanding views. Numerous heritage sites and places of historical interest have been linked to form a series of published walks in the Upper Swansea Valley. Visitors can enjoy good fishing: the clear rivers and streams which tumble down from the Brecon Beacons have good stocks of brown trout, sea-trout and salmon. Bird lovers may well see the red kite, back from near extinction. Hawks, buzzards, merlins, kestrels kingfishers and a whole range of owls are also resident in the area.
Other activities range from painting breaks and holdays to BMW off road motor cycling courses.
